From Family Reunification to the distinctions between Temporary and Permanent Residency, each category comes with its own set of prerequisites and legal considerations.

Family Reunification: If you're married to a Dominican citizen or supporting a child living here, you can pursue temporary residency based on family ties. It's important to note that this isn't a call for impromptu weddings—there are steps and legalities involved!
Temporary Residency vs. Permanent Residency: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Department manage different residency categories, each with slightly varying prerequisites. While they share similarities, understanding their nuances is crucial.

Fast Track Residency: Decoding the Requirements

Our primary focus today is the Investment Program, commonly known as the Fast Track, offering an expedited route to residency and potential citizenship. The Investment Program paves the way to residency through three primary avenues:

Traditional Investment: Historically, a minimum investment of $200,000 was mandated. However, an evolution unfolded in 2007, broadening eligibility criteria.
Pensioner Route: Individuals earning a minimum of $1,500 per month qualify, with an additional $250 for each family member.
Rentista/Passive Income Approach: Those with consistent passive income of at least $2,000 per month for five years are eligible. This could stem from property rentals, business profits abroad, or diverse investment portfolios.
